Advice - Rogue Traders and Cold Callers |

Dear Resident,
Humberside Police receive many reports each year about Rogue Traders or Cold Callers trying to force people to buy things or pay for work to be completed.
Recently Humberside Police have been made aware of males, allegedly from Portsmouth leaflet dropping, leaflet stating that Scotts Jewellers were in the area and were offering valuation/payment for jewellery. A male as then attended an address to do a valuation but has then left in a suspicious manner without any explanation. If you have experienced anything similar or know anything in relation to this incident please contact humberside police on 101 quoting log 0354 05/02/2026
On many occasions it is the most vulnerable members of our community that are targeted.
